Do I need to have prior experience or training to become a firefighter?
No experience is necessary to join! We provide all the training, equipment and gear for free.

Will I get paid?
No, we are a volunteer fire company and do not receive financial compensation. The training and experiences we offer has a lot of value to our members with many advancing in the emergency services field.

How much time do I have to donate as a volunteer?
Volunteers work full-time jobs, attend school and care for their families, so we only ask them to give as much time as they can.

Does your station have a program for teenagers?
Yes, our cadet program is open to teens ages 14 and 15, and our junior firefighter program is available for teens 16 and 17. Although they have some restrictions, cadets and juniors are vital to supporting Sharon Hill Fire Company. Learn more about their roles on the Ways to Volunteer page.

What are the benefits of volunteering?
Sharon Hill provides high-quality training and a family-friendly atmosphere to integrate volunteers into their station. Learn more on the Why Volunteer page.

How do I sign up?
To learn more, fill out an inquiry form on the Join Us page. Your information will be sent to our recruitment committee members who will contact you shortly and invite you to visit our station.
